We have Place Pages where we collect place-based knowledge. We have Place Pages for watersheds that we call Catchments. Catchments are grouped into Regions (like Hood Canal), and Regions are grouped into Bioregions (like the Salish Sea). Inside of Catchments we have Landforms (like River Deltas). Within Landforms we have Sites and Patches. Regions, Catchments, and some Landforms have Categories that can be used to flag other Page Types, and define how Places are nested inside each other.
On this wiki we put the ecosystem at the center of our organization. Counties and Cities are classified as Workgroups, and use a separate category system, acknowledging that much of our ecosystem management is based on these ecologically arbitrary jurisdictions.
