The platform is more like a map then an essay. We present useful information with the least clutter. If everyone adds lots of prose the platform becomes cluttered, redundant, and difficult to edit. Each page presents a carefully organized set of evidence and information within a precise territory defined by Page Type and Categories. Contribute products, then present synthesis and cite the product. Do not use page text to tell stories. Wiki content supports ecosystem stewardship; we study how our social systems affect ecosystems. Please don’t wander out of this territory. Keep language simple, and avoid long sentences. We mostly use headings and bullets. If you want to tell a long narrative in paragraphs, then author your own Document and add it to our collection. Please don’t turn wiki pages into documents. This concise style encourages:Predictability - A reader knows what to expect and can find information easily.Efficient Contribution - A writer can rapidly produce content and easily amend existing content.Organized Information - A shared standard for compartmentalizing knowledge reduces redundancy, eases updates, and improves cross-referencing.
