Clallam County
Clallam County is a General purpose local government responsible for the northern Olympic Peninsula. In includes the City of Sequim and City of Port Angeles and extends past the Salish sea to include the Outer Coast and the City of Forks. The Elwha Watershed and the Dungeness Watershed are the two largest basins, and all drainages flow north into the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The historical economy revolved around Forestry and Sawmills and Fisheries. The Port of Port Angeles is a deep water port located in the middle of the county, and the stepping off point for Vancouver Island and the City of Victoria on the Canadian side of the Salish Sea.
