Adaptive Management
Adaptive Management is a kind of effort that integrates Research and Monitoring with on the ground Protection and Restoration by viewing ecosystem work as an ongoing Education process. It has been endlessly promoted by the scientific community, but rarely implemented. Funding systems rarely support adaptive management. The acknowledgement of uncertainty is not encouraged by many Socioeconomic feedback mechanisms. Regulations may integrate management triggers into Mitigation systems, but often for managing performance rather than intentional learning.
