Avian Communities Informing Estuary Restoration
Ecostudies Institute is leading an effort to expand the implementation of the Salish Sea Estuaries Avian Monitoring (SSEAM) Framework to support broad-scale monitoring of the bird communities that use estuarine habitats across the Salish Sea. These data will help us establish a baseline of fine-scale avian-habitat relationships in estuaries across the region, allowing for evaluation of the impacts of estuary restoration on birds and to generate recommendations for future restoration and ongoing management.
