Web-Based Viewer of Beach Topographic Data

This project will be conducted by the Washington State Department of Ecology Applied Research and Engineering section (ACRE) and will create the necessary WebGIS infrastructure to host and distribute coastal lidar data collected by ACRE during previous ESRP-funded projects. Currently, the lidar data collected by ACRE is available only by request and there is no online repository or map/list of datasets. This project will streamline the process for scientists, planners, consultants, engineers, and the public to find, explore, and download ESRP-funded topographic shoreline lidar data in the Puget Sound. Access to this data will provide baseline information for prioritization of restoration sites, design of restoration and soft-shore stabilization projects, and evaluation of restoration project performance post construction. alt=Map of Washington State’s Puget Sound displaying extent of lidar acquisition.
